Amanda Wallace

Amanda Renee Wallace is a 17 year old senior at Kent Island High School.  She has been in the martial arts for 8 years.  She began by studying “Sho Yu Sha Do” (style meaning “My Own Way”) in 2000.  In October 2003 she earned her black belt with her younger brother.  As a teenager, she has found that it is a way of life.  Karate has taught her more than kicks and punches; it has taught her how to be self confident, how to help our community and how to treat others the way she would want to be treated

At Martial Arts United she continues her martial arts journey by training in two styles Tae Kwon Do and Takido (style meaning “Many Branches in the Road”).  In June 2007, she earned her black belt in Tae Kwon Do.  As a Black Gi Top Instructor, she teaches children as well as adults.  Karate has given her the chance to work with kids and has given her the desire to continue teaching children as a career.  She is actively looking for a college with an outstanding education program because she plans on becoming a Pre-K teacher.
